Aisha Masjid uses this app to record the donations entrusted to the mosque and to show donors how those funds are used. This policy explains what personal information the app holds, why it is held, and the choices available to you. It applies to everyone who signs in, whether as a donor, an accountant or an administrator.
Information we collect
Accounts are created by the mosque office, not by self sign-up. The record created for you may include your name, email address, phone number, CNIC, gender, postal address, monthly commitment and the accountant assigned to you. The app also stores the donations recorded against your name — amount, date, method, receipt number and the project a contribution was tagged to — along with any profile photo or receipt image you choose to attach.
Information collected automatically
When you sign in, the app stores a notification token for your device so announcements and receipts can reach you, together with basic technical details such as the app version and your chosen language and accessibility settings. The app does not track your location and contains no advertising or third-party analytics.
How your information is used
Your information is used only to run the mosque’s donation records: to identify you when you sign in, to record and acknowledge your contributions, to issue receipts, to let your assigned accountant collect your monthly commitment, to send announcements and reminders about mosque events and projects, and to prepare the accounts the mosque is obliged to keep.
Who can see your information
Your personal details are visible to you, to the accountant assigned to you and to the mosque administrator. Other donors never see your details. Published fund-utilisation figures are aggregated totals and never name an individual donor. Your information is never sold, rented or shared for marketing.
Service providers
The app stores data with Google Firebase (authentication, database and notifications) and Cloudflare (file and image storage). These providers process the data on the mosque’s behalf under their own security obligations and may store it on servers outside your country. No other third party receives your data, except where the mosque is required to disclose it by law.
How long we keep it
Profile details are kept for as long as your account is open. Donation and receipt records are kept for at least seven years after they are recorded, because the mosque must be able to account for every amount it has received; these records are retained in an anonymised form even after an account is closed.
Security
Access is protected by an email and password you alone know, and data is encrypted in transit. Access rules limit each account to the records its role is permitted to see. Please keep your password private and tell the mosque office at once if you think someone else has used your account.
Children’s privacy
The app is intended for adults who contribute to the mosque. Accounts are not knowingly created for children under 13, and any such account found will be removed.
Your rights
You may ask to see the information held about you, to have an inaccurate detail corrected, or to have your account closed and your personal data deleted. The Delete Account screen in this app starts that request, or you may contact the mosque office directly.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the revised version will appear on this screen with a new date above. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the revised policy.
